1. How do I know if my child is ready to start Pre School dance classes?

At DDTS we start our Pre School Ballet classes for children aged 3 years old. We believe starting younger than this children often lack the attention span and physical strength needed for basic dance lessons. We believe the decision is when the child’s personality is ready and level of interest for the ballet classes we offer. Different programs offer different experiences and you may see movement classes for much younger children.

2. Choosing the Day/Time/Location that suits you.

DDTS offers:

Pre School Ballet classes for children aged 3-4yrs : Tuesdays 2.00pm and Saturdays 11.15am

Pre Primary Ballet classes for children in Reception: Tuesdays at 4.00pm.

3. What are the fees and what does that price reflect?

An example of our fees for this age group are approx. £6.50 per class dependent on level and length of class. Our termly paid in advance fees reflect our attention to detail and the high quality of our work. Our commitment to teaching the children with highly experienced qualified staff providing tuition within safe dance practise guidelines looking after the young developing bodies so you can be assured your child is in very safe hands.

4. What are the teacher’s professional dance teacher qualifications? Are they DBS checked? Level of teachers experience and how long has the school been running?

DDTS was established in 1957 and is still thriving 66yrs later. We have not been so successful for so long for no reason. The School has developed a strong reputation in the dance world and has become a renowned place of learning for dance students in Mid Sussex. When you choose a dance teacher, it is vital that you are confident your child is in safe hands. ISTD dance teachers are required to undergo rigorous training and examinations to ensure they are highly knowledgeable and confident to train students of all ages and abilities. All DDTS teachers are highly qualified and experienced and all DBS checked.
